I cant dare to talk with guruji I am to listen not to talk. Not because of scare, but because of respect to guruji.Guruji is like sun we are like flowers which always try to grow towards sun.Guruji's every aspect of life is as pure as every "Sur" at its place.Guruji loves me very much rather guruji loves one and every student very much.Just presence of Guruji can change atmosphere....we can get love and love from guruji....and I am not right person say something about guruji's flute. Its just speechless you listen and become speechless...my personal experience is my soul is reflected in Guruji's flute.

Jazz-Guitar Great Explores Indian Sounds Posted: 4:51 pm PST March 9,2010 Christened as "a true pioneer of rock-jazz fusion" by the New York Times, and dubbed "the Godfather of Fusion" by Down Beat, Larry Coryell is one of the pioneers of jazz-rock. He brought what amounted to a nearly alien sensibility to jazz electric guitar playing in the 1960s, delivering a hard-edged, cutting tone, phrasing and note-bending that owed as much to blues, rock and even country as it did to earlier, smoother bop influences. Early work with drummer Chico Hamilton, flutist Herbie Mann and vibe player Gary Burton paved the way for Coryell's distortion-heavy jazz excursions leading his own trio and the '70s band 11th House. His current project Bombay Jazz features the guitarist teaming with minimalist composer/saxophonist George Brooks (Terry Riley, John McLaughlin, Zakir Hussain, the Kronos Quartet), Indian bamboo flute master Ronu Majumdar and tabla virtuoso Aditya Kalyanpur to create the finest Indian-inspired jazz and jazz flavored raga. This meeting of world-music visionaries blends the ancient improvisational art of Indian classical music with jazz to create a soul-satisfying sound filled with rich melodies and dynamic rhythms. Bombay Jazz made their debut performance at the Jazz Yatra in Mumbai, India in 2003, receiving critical and popular acclaim. A whirlwind tour of Europe in the fall of 2004 and US performances in 2005 and 2006 solidified the group’s relentless pursuit of compositional and improvisational excellence. Larry Coryell and Bombay Jazz Tuesday-Wednesday, March 9-10, 8pm $18 Yoshi's SF
