Respected Ronu Da Koti Pranam from Pancham I am deeply moved by your very kind mail. My association with you began recently but it has accelerated to a level that is almost spiritual. It is perhaps Divine Will that I should get the blessing of being accepted by you . When I first met you in the green room of Kamani Hall it was a my tryst with spirituality .But that meeting was designed by God to give me a chance to listen to your concert live. Well that was a memorable occasion for me and I was astonished at the melody, depth, range, amazing skills, breath control, emotions or Bhava and above all the haunting music that came from your magic flutes. I became a slave of your music and am so glad about it. I prayed to God to make me join this SAT SANG with you. God has very kindly granted my wishes. Within a short span , I developed a desire to arrange a circuit of your programmes in Kerala and we started corresponding with each other directly as well as through Shri Vittal Das your gracious P.S. When you telcon me from USA and confirmed the Kerala programmes, I felt so wonderful and felt God has answered my Prayers of getting to know you more and more. I started developing a tremendous sense of respect and affection for you and your humility and kindness is truly inspiring. When you phoned me from Trivandrum and told me about the visit to Padmanabha Swamy temple, I felt a small tool in the hands of God to have made this possible through a Kerala Circuit. Everything that happens to us is pre determined by God. I felt extremely close to you and thought of Ekalavya's story in Maha Barata. I felt i should take the first opportunity of meeting you in my new avatar as your disciple - not in terms of musical skills but in terms of regards for you. I am so glad we could meet at IHC New Delhi in connection with your concert . Thank you so much for accepting me as Anna for which I dont deserve but now that you have declared it , I shall work very had in life to make me worth of it. I shall dedicate my services to SPIC MACAY which makes such beautiful relations a dream come true. My wife was also very moved by your kindness and enjoyed talking to you in Bengali . We look forward to your next visit to Delhi when if possible kindly come to our home and make our home blessed place . With respects and regards Pancham --- On Mon, 9/1/08, ronu majumdar wrote: From: ronu majumdar Subject: Delhi Concert - Kerala Tour To: "Panchama Kesan" Date: Monday, September 1, 2008, 12:44 PM Dear Panchamjee Namaskaar It was such a spiritual connection we both felt I the concert on 30th. Dear Ronu Majumdar ji The concert was fantastic. I have read comments by others about your flute playing and would only add that the experience of watching and listening to your flute cannot be expressed by mere words as like many human feelings they remain ineffable and inadequate. Thanks for lifting our spirits to dizzying heights.

Hello Mr. Majumdar, My sister and I were at your performance in Columbus this past Saturday night, and I just wanted to say how fantastic it was. I've never experienced anything like it. Your music filled my whole consciousness and it was as if I was the entire universe listening in. The whole three hours was one of the most profound experiences of my life- I had no idea music could be so powerful. I still feel the effects of that night. My sister feels the same way and we would both like to express our gratitude. Thank you so much, Eric and Arielle

Ranu Da, I have heard many flutist in my life but never experienced whatever you performed last night at Norfolk, Virginia. Small example, an American guitarist came to your show upon my invitation & he never heard Indian flute before. Initially he told me that he will stay for first 30 minutes and then leave. Later he commented, “I think I must stay”. He said you are “electrifying” and Ramdas was “impeccable” on his drums (he meant table). These are the comments from Americans community who do not understand Indian Classical music. I am not even going to what Indian’s said. I think you are the most versatile flutist of contemporary India and you deserve a standing ovation. Please keep it up and spread this knowledge and art to the youth of India. Also, I am very grateful to Bidhu Kaka for providing us this opportunity to hear you so closely. Hats off to Bidhu Mohanti and Sangeet Sargam.
